Building bridges for education: our founder's 2023 visit to Pakistan

From January 21 to February 6, 2023, as Pakistan recovered from the catastrophic 2022 floods, House of Pakistan founder Tasneem Farooq Rehmani traveled to Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad with technical advisor Dr. Rubina Feroze Bhatti and senior volunteer Mohammad Naeem.

In Karachi, she worked with the Sindh School Education & Literacy Department to identify and support the adoption of government schools. She was also named a Goodwill Ambassador for a local trust. VERIFY: name of the trust

In Islamabad, she met with the federal Ministry of Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, the Ministry of Climate Change, the national SDGs Secretariat, and the Women's Chamber of Commerce & Industry. She discussed partnerships in quality education (SDG 4), computer literacy for young people, and exchange opportunities that connect Pakistani and American women entrepreneurs.

In Lahore, she met with Cross Culture Asia to advance women's empowerment projects.
