When the pandemic hit, Paasand volunteers organized food and medicine delivery and financial help for neighbors in need. Volunteer physicians offered medical guidance, and local restaurants Tikka Lounge and Charminar provided halal meals for elders facing hardship.
STAT people in green and white, the Consul General of Pakistan, the Mayor of Irvine, youth performances of "Dil Say Pakistan" and "Pasoori," and awards for community service.
Three heritage displays at Balboa Park in one season: Pakistani history and culture, a dholki presentation with a student talk on cross-cultural leadership, and an exhibition celebrating the calligraphy of Sadequain with an afternoon of Urdu poetry.
After the devastating 2022 floods, our community raised support for recovery. In early 2023, our founder traveled to Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad to meet education and development leaders and to support the adoption of government schools in Karachi. VERIFY W-31
From the 2017 Grand Bazaar & Business Expo to the 2025 Ramadan & Eid Fashion Bazaar with designers from across California and Phoenix, our bazaars give home-based and women-owned businesses a place to grow.
